Synopsis: When a lonely 10-year-old preacher's daughter finds a
stray dog in a Winn-Dixie supermarket parking lot, she brings him home and
names him after the grocery store chain. The lovable mutt aids her in
immeasurable ways, like helping her become friends with a bunch of
colorful locals, while at the same time facilitating a relationship
between her and her dad, a bond that was all but destroyed when the girl's
mother ran off seven years prior.
