Greetings! Coweta Area Blue Star Mothers  Invite You! Blue Star Mothers will be hosting an open house Friday, May 16th from 8am to 5pm. Also if you haven't heard The Blus Star Mothers have relocated their headquarters and will be  giving tours of their new building which can be found in the Oak Grove Shopping Center next to Duffy's.  They will also be having a ribbon cutting ceremony which will be held at 10am.  There will be refreshments and great company!  Let's show our support for everything these wonderful women do for our community.  Save the date!! You Don't Want to Miss This!!! On Armed Forces Day Saturday, May 17 at 9am The Blue Star Mom's will host a prayer session for our military troops.  It will be in the Oak Grove Parking Lot.  At 9:30 everyone will all assemble into a parking lot size yellow ribbon. (T-shirts to be used for the yellow ribbon assemblage can be purchased from any Blue Star Mother or Dana Designs for $6.  Orders must be placed by May 7.)  Where an aerial picture will be taken.  These photos will be sent to our troops in their next Freedom Boxes from our community and the Blue Star Mothers.  Anyone interested in a photo can also pick one up at the Coweta Area Blue Star Mothers building in the Oak Grove Center (Old Wal-Mart Shopping Center by Duffy's). At 11:00 a restored car will be unveiled for a returning soldier from Iraq at the Assembly of God Church.  A Patriotic program will follow.  All are invited to the church's activities.  A poker run hosted by the Watering Hole complete with a fish fry at 4pm and auction filled with nice items such as a locally made quilt and homemade baked goods will follow at 6pm. All proceeds from this event will go to the Coweta Area Blue Star Mothers to be used for troop support.
